Utility Patent

Utility Patent Search

A utility patent search, also referred to as a novelty assessment Search, is done before filing a patent application in the patent office so as to check whether features of the inventive step have already been disclosed before in one or more published documents (Patent or Non-patent Literature or both).

Our utility patent searches are conducted on a Worldwide basis, with special attention to regions including US, Europe, Asia and other foreign jurisdictions. We also thoroughly search Non-Patent Literature, including related electronically available journals, websites, technical literature, manuals, books, articles, and blogs.

Patent Drafting

Patent application drafting is a process of writing a detailed application including claims, detail description, and supporting figures. A patent application draft is the soul of client's invention as it conveys the information about the invention with all possible embodiments.

Patdraft believes in paying attention to every aspect of client's invention and discussing the inventive criteria in an ongoing maner. This is a critical step of any patent drafting exercise and helps us drafting broad claims that do not overlap with the existing art.

We have a highly experience team in drafting detailed specifications and covering all possible embodiments with supporting illustrations.

We help clients with drafting provisional and non-provisional patent applications.

Office Action Response

An office action is a legal document written by a patent examiner while reviewing a patent application under examination. The Office action cites prior arts and clarifies reasons pointing out allowance and rejection of the claims presented in the patent application.

Patdraft provides response to the office action received from the patent office. Specifically, Patdraft provides cost effective preparation of office action responses (OAR) based on different rejections received from the patent office and overcomes these rejection with minimum interactions with the patent office.
